Sky Compass

Sky Compass is a moving images project I created for LED installation, inspired by a reflective moment in Tel Aviv as I looked out at the sea and thought about Gaza.

I envisioned the sky as my guide, measuring the distance between Tel Aviv and Gaza through a literal bird's flight or "vol d'oiseau" to reanchor Gaza’s reality into my own. This project is both a personal and political statement. The video consists of 10 frames, each showing the kilometers between my location and Gaza, accompanied by reflective questions in Hebrew, Arabic, and English that I have been contemplating for the past decade.
